Fees

Transparent fees, agreed in advance

The fee arrangement is agreed openly and comprehensibly before the work begins. That is the basis of trust between attorney and client.

Five ways to structure the fee

Legal expenses insurance

If you hold legal expenses insurance, we notify your insurer free of charge. Where the case is covered, our fees are settled directly with the insurer and you carry no cost risk.

Hourly rate

Billing by the hour keeps the remuneration proportionate to the actual work. We estimate the expected effort in advance so you know the frame from the start.

Statutory tariff (RATG)

In court proceedings, costs generally follow the Austrian Lawyers Fees Act (RATG): the statutory tariff assigns a fixed rate to each step, depending on the amount in dispute and the effort involved. On request we agree billing based on the tariff, and we can estimate the expected cost of the proceedings in advance.

Flat fee

Where the work can be estimated reliably in advance, for example trademark applications or contract drafting, we agree a flat fee.

Litigation funding

Some proceedings can be financed by litigation funders: you carry no cost risk and pay a share of the proceeds only if the case succeeds. The firm cooperates with experienced and reputable litigation funders and makes the connection for you; there is no need to find a funder yourself.

Ongoing advice for businesses

If your company regularly faces legal questions but has no legal department of its own, we offer an external legal department for a monthly flat fee: you address your questions to us at any time and keep full control of the costs.
